INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRADUANDS

WELCOME TO THE 'CONVOCATION' CEREMONY

• 1.  To maintain the solemnity of the occasion, let us all conduct ourselves in a fitting manner.

• 2.  Utmost decorum and silence are to be observed throughout the proceedings.
• 3.  All graduands shall rise when the academic procession enters the Convocation hall, and resume their seats after the members of the procession take their seats.
• 4.  During prayer, all graduands shall stand up and keep standing until they are asked to sit down.
• 5.  The graduands shall not leave the Hall till the end of the proceedings.
• 6.  Cell phones should be switched off or left outside the Convocation hall.
• 7.  When taking the oath, the graduands shall rise, and resume their seats only at the end of the oath.
• 8.  All graduands shall rise when procession leaves the Convocation hall and resume their seats afterwards.
