PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULY

1.  Graduands may visit the website https://convocation.cb.amrita.edu to get latest updated information.


2. All Graduands must register online before 11:00 PM 26th August, 2024


3. Graduands should mention whether they are attending the Convocation in-person while registering.


4.  Please follow the instruction as per the emails after you register.


5.  The main convocation function shall be held in the auditorium next to Amrita School of Business at 10:00 AM on 1st September, 2024


6. Transportation and accommodation facilities will not be provided to the Graduands & their Parents/Guardians. You are advised not to plan for a night stay in the Campus. Dressing rooms will be made available near the reporting centre.


7. The Convocation attire for registered as in-person Graduands shall be distributed at the following venues :
   
             Boys : Aerodynamics Lab on the Hangar Road near College Grounds
   
             Girls : Visitors room, MYTHREYI BHAVANAM
   
   These centres will be open from 10.00 AM to 8.00 PM on 31st August, 2024 and from 06.00 AM to 11:30 AM on 1st September 2024 (Convocation day).


8. Accompanying persons will be allowed into the Convocation Hall only along with the Graduand in the Convocation attire. Hence report at the Convocation Hall together before 9:45 AM.


9. Owing to large participation, all graduands are informed to collect their Convocation attire as early as possible to avoid a last-minute rush.


10. Since the seating capacity in the main Convocation Hall is limited, a maximum of two accompanying persons will only be allowed inside the Convocation Hall, and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis till the seats are filled. Accompanying persons beyond the seating capacity available in the Convocation Hall will be accommodated in the Pandal at the College Sports Ground, where there will be a live telecast of the proceedings.


11. Graduands will be permitted to the Convocation Hall only if they wear the Convocation attire. Seating arrangements for medal winners, PhD awardees and their parents (2) will be in a separate enclosure, near the stage.


12. To maintain the solemnity of the function, Graduands are not allowed to leave the Convocation Hall during the entire function. All are expected to maintain silence in the Convocation Hall during the proceedings


13. Those who cannot make it to the Convocation Hall by 9.45 AM, will be allowed to attend the certificate distribution ceremony held at designated venues after the main function.


14. After the Convocation ceremony, lunch will be provided in the pandal at the College Sports Ground.


15. All vehicles should be parked in the designated parking area. If the Graduands are reporting at the campus in their Convocation attire, they can directly drive towards the parking area. Graduands who need to collect the dress, may drive towards the Convocation attire distribution center. No parking is available at the dress distribution centers. Hence, only a drop off facility will be available at the Convocation attire distribution center. All vehicles need to drive towards the parking area after dropping off the Graudand. 16. Safety of belongings shall be the sole responsibility of Graduands.


17. Female Graduands shall make their own arrangements for blouse (cream colour/golden colour) to be worn along with the Convocation attire, which will be a saree.


18. All graduands shall rise when procession leaves the Convocation hall and resume their seats afterwards.
